Burton and District Mind is the local mental health charity affiliated with Mind. Since 1991, we have been providing vital mental health support and advocacy across Burton, Lichfield District and Tamworth Borough.
We believe that everyone experiencing a mental health problem, deserves both support and respect.

Our vision is for everyone person in our community to experience better mental health, away from judgement or barriers.
How we serve our community?
To achieve our goal of providing every person with vital mental health support, we offer advice, support and offer a range of accessible services that are proven to promote wellbeing and good mental health.
Our Impact
Each year, we support 3500+ people.
We offer a variety of services, including;
We work in collaboration with local NHS, local authorities, charities, social enterprises, and businesses to support our communities in every way we can.
Fundraising helps us provide alternatives to NHS services, to pilot projects that respond to our community’s needs.
We provide a meaningful volunteer programme for people looking to move into compassionate careers and support their own interests in having good mental health.
Quality & Standards
We are proud holders of the Mind Quality Mark (MQM accreditation, most recently awarded in August 2024. As well as also approved by Fundraising Regulations.

Fundraising & donations
We accept charitable donations (including Gift Aid) to invest directly in community services.

Overseen by a dedicated Board of Trustees, with annual reporting to the Charity Commission and audited accounts.

Funding Model
Though affiliated with Mind, we fund our services locally—drawing from local NHS contracts, community grants, and fundraising efforts. We receive no central funding from Mind.
