Safe Haven Crisis Café
A Crisis Café service, called Safe Haven, will be provided for people aged 16 plus with mental health problems living in Tamworth Borough, East Staffordshire, and Lichfield District.
Safe Haven provides a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals experiencing difficulties with their mental health and well-being. Whether you are in crisis, feeling distressed, or simply need someone to talk to, our dedicated team are here to help.

Who can use the service?
Safe Haven is available for:
People with mental health problems experiencing distress and need help now.
Aged 16 plus (with no upper limit)
Living in East Staffordshire, Tamworth Borough or Lichfield District
People with existing support and care planning from Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and anyone else!

How can the service support your mental health?
Our trained mental health staff offer compassionate listening, practical support, and can signpost you to other appropriate services to ensure you get the help you need.
Safe Haven is a safe, inclusive, non-judgmental space where people can talk openly about their experiences and find understanding and reassurance.
Alongside 1-2-1 support, we offer a range of therapeutic and creative activities, including crafting, poetry, and mindfulness sessions, designed to help you build confidence, learn new coping tools, and enhance your overall wellbeing.
At Safe Haven, we believe that everyone deserves a safe space to be heard, supported, and valued on their journey toward better mental health

Anyone who attends more than once will join as a ‘Safe Haven Member and if they are known to mental health services.
We’ll let their Care Coordinator know that they have made use of the service.

How can people sign up or find more information?
Safe Haven is a drop in service where participants are free to drop in when they feel they need to.
However, we also have an Urgent Referral Form which can be found below

When is the Safe Haven Crisis Café open?
We are proud to say that our Safe Haven Crisis Café is now open 7 days a week.
Monday to Friday: 5pm to 11pm
Saturdays: 9am to 5pm
Sundays: 1:30pm to 9:30pm
